Set up Apollo Group IPTV on Apple TV

The easiest of the ten: the player is in Apple's own store, so there is nothing to side-load and nothing to switch on first.

The steps

Do these in order. If a screen does not look like the one described, stop and message us rather than guessing — it is quicker.

  1. Open the App Store on the Apple TV

    It is on the home screen. Search for IPTV Smarters and install it.

  2. Open the app and choose the login type

    Pick Login with Xtream Codes API rather than the playlist option — it gives you the guide and the film library, and the playlist does not.

  3. Enter your login

    Type the three lines from our message. The Apple TV remote is easier if you use the iPhone keyboard that pops up on your phone when the field opens.

Copy them exactly — a trailing space is the commonest reason a login is refused.

The app will not install

tvOS 15 or later is needed. Settings → System → Software Updates will tell you what you are on.

Everything buffers on 4K channels

Apple TV prefers wi-fi even when the ethernet cable is in. Check Settings → Network says Ethernet, not the name of your wi-fi.
